trailing clouds of glory . . .

Marci and Wesley are still in the hospital and doing great! Wesley dwarfs all of the other babies in the nursery. It's nice to have a big healthy baby. Of course, that's easy for dad to say, I didn't have to deliver him. But the delivery went well, and we feel very blessed to have another boy join our family. The kids are so excited for him to come home. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. We love you,
the Mike Trumans
(sorry the layout is so goofy on this posting, I have not idea how to post pictures in that cool little collage)

The banner year

Just in case you think I never make the local news, here's the proof, but I now doubt even more what I read in the paper. I mentioned that we COMMISSIONED the art several times and yet the article states DONATED??? Don't I wish I still had the $5000 in the library budget. It is beautiful! And really worth it. Someday you'll have to come and see!

A few more pictures...

Here's just a few more pics of the time we spent with Truman and Kate. They sure are cute! Even though Kate wasn't fully prepared to go the the park because we forgot her swimsuit, Megan made sure she left the house beautiful. Megan applied strawberry flavored lipgloss to her lips just before we left. Megan can't go anywhere without it!

Love you guys.

Truman and Kate-day 2

We had another great day! Trains (at Learning is Fun), Target trip (to get a birthday present for Harry--Happy Birthday Harry), water bottle fights outside, swimming (didn't get pictures). The kids are being great and we are all having fun! Everyone is settled down right now watching a video. Here's some pictures...

Sorry about the big space at the end of the last post...I hope it doesn't happen this time! I'm new to blogging and not quite sure how it all works!

Having fun with Truman and Kate!

This post is mostly for Suz and Joe while they are away. I get the privledge of watching Truman and Kate while they are in Jackson Hole (good luck Joe)! It's supposed to be payback since Suz and Joe watched our kids while we went to Seattle a while ago, but I think Mark and I got the good end of the deal...they watched our five and we're watch their two! Truman and Kate are awesome! We have had such a great time today. Here are some pictures for you Suz...your kids are so great and I am loving every minute of this!

Kate and Truman just hanging out while Jessica was asleep and the kids were at school.

Megan got home from preschool and it was "popcicle time!"

PLAY TIME!! Sam is home so let the Nintedo DS games begin!! Meg, Jessica and Kate make a great threesome! Kate is getting "baked" in the oven!

Fun and games led to pure exhaustion!!!

Except for this guy....

I like to call him the energizer bunny. He stayed up partying with balloons. We decided to try the bed and see if he would fall asleep, but he didn't yawn so that means he's not tired yet. :)Sooo...

at this very moment he's hanging out with Uncle Mark! He's not the only night owl around here! Don't worry Suz, he is being great! He's such a crack up and so fun to have around! Hope you're having fun!

Meet Rachel

The following is one of Rachel's first school assignments. We thought it was a pretty accurate description of our wonderful little girl:

Hello my name is Rachel Truman and I am going to tell you about my life. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 23, 1997. I have blond hair, blue eyes and am kind of short. I have 4 siblings 2 brothers 2 sisters (the girls rule the house). My mom's and dad's names are Mark and Maria. My dad is an orthodontist and my mom, well, pretty much takes care of us. I would consider myself musical, shy, friendly (at home at least) and fun to be around!

I like doing tons of stuff. But my favorite things to do are singing, reading, scrap booking, and piano. I also like learning. My favorite school subjects are Music and Art. My least favorite is Social Studies and Computer. I also like drawing and making B-day cards. You might be surprised but I also like baby sitting. I also like being around babies and little kids. I love music! If I had a studio I would never come out. I especially love country music. My favorite singer is Carrie Underwood. My favorite food is chicken rolls, for those of you who don't know what they are, they are rolls with chicken inside of them.

In the future I plan to get a scholarship to B.Y.U. I would like to gratduate in Health and Teaching. I would like to get married and have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. I want to have a house just big enough to hold my family. I want to live in Salt Lake City Utah and live close to my family. When I am a grandma I would like to be a librarian (like my grandma) because I love being around little kids. If I can't be a librarian I would like to be a kindergarten teacher. In my life I plan to have a good home and raise a good family.
