Fall Roses
Mother always loved roses
roses in the spring,
new colors
planted,
trimmed,
pruned,
wilted blossoms plucked away
new blooms
appearing
and
reappearing
carefully tended. . .
then fall. . .
the last blooms, saving some
drying them for winter
memories until spring.
